In response to the great interest in the certification class I’m teaching August 16-19, I’ll be offering the classes again this fall. I will be traveling to Oklahoma to teach a combined session (Basic and Advanced together) in February 2014 and will work on 2014 class dates once those are finalized.

Classes prepare students to complete the certification process through Babywearing Institute. Nonrefundable registration is $50 per student. Tuition (refundable and transferrable to other sessions) for each class is $300, and if a student opts to register for both a basic and advanced class, registration will only need to be paid once. Students who have previously taken a class with me may, on a case-by-case basis, request to audit a session corresponding to a course they have already taken. A Basic course is a prerequisite for the Advanced course. Those who have taken a BI class and wish to audit or review materials with other teachers should contact me for special arrangements. Nurslings are welcome, and older children are permitted with the understanding that their guardian is responsible for helping set expectations for behavior that maintain an environment conducive for learning.
Classes will be held at 2028 Buffalo Terrace, Houston, Texas 77019-2408. They will run 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a break for lunch to be determined by those in attendance that day. The location is close to several food options, and a small refrigerator is available for those who wish to bring their own lunch. Ample free parking is available across the street from the office building.
I will begin offering noncertification courses in 2014 on specific topics, in addition to the private consultation and small-group clases I currertly offer. If you do not require certification but wish to deepen your knowledge, these may be a better, lower-priced option. All Babywearing International VBEs and volunteers will receive a 25 percent discount on non-certification courses I offer.
